BRIGHT MINDS TUTORING AND MENTORING

Tutoring and mentoring for all ages in the Denver Metro Area and online through Zoom!

Our Beginnings

Brights Minds Tutoring and Mentoring was founded in 2023 by Abigail Smith. We offer tutoring in Denver, surrounding suburbs, and virtually. Our focus surrounds creating curious, adaptable, life-long learners. Bright Minds currently offers a full range of tutoring subjects including math, science, elementary reading and literacy, languages, English and writing, and college advising. Additionally, we have an optional year-long mentorship program.

What Makes Bright Minds Different?

More Than Just Tutoring

Learning goes beyond just memorizing facts and figures; it involves critical thinking, problem-solving, and application of knowledge in real-world scenarios. It is important to foster a learning environment that encourages students to think, question, and analyze information. At Bright Minds, we focus on developing life-long learners and thinkers who have a confidence in their ability to master the content knowledge. While we do offer traditional tutoring, we also offer enrichment services. These sessions offer the opportunity for students to find further challenge through tutor created curriculum; this can help students extend themselves beyond their classroom learning and into more advanced topics and understandings.

Online or In-Person

At Bright Minds, we recognize the value of flexibility in scheduling. Whether you prefer to meet in-person or online, we have the capability to meet your needs. Our online lessons are facilitated with screensharing and video technology that allow the student and tutor to interact with the material together. Our in-person lessons offer the flexibility to meet in a variety of locations.

Mentoring Opportunity

In addition to our subject area tutoring sessions, we offer the opportunity to have a year-long mentor. The tutor not only aids in subject area tutoring, but acts as an advisor for the student throughout the year. This could mean help choosing classes, working on time-management, navigating the college application process, and general support both academically and personally.

“My AP Stats tutor's approach to teaching was exceptional, as they focused on helping me truly understand the material rather than just memorizing it. By encouraging critical thinking and active engagement with the subject matter, they helped me develop a deeper appreciation for the topic and a greater ability to apply my knowledge in practical situations. Overall, their personalized teaching style was highly effective and made a significant impact on my academic success."
