Alexander Burks

Alex has been teaching a variety of science subjects in grades 6-12 since 2018, and is always looking for new opportunities to engage with students and grow their interest and love of science. He believes strongly that every student is not just capable of being a scientist, but IS a scientist by the nature of human curiosity. He currently teaches high school chemistry and AP chemistry, where his goal is to make highly conceptual topics tangible and manageable for his students. Alex also holds a Master's Degree in Special Education, which he uses to guide his teaching of all his students in ways that fit their individual strengths, and bolster areas where there is room for improvement.

In his free time Alex enjoys running, making music, and streaming video games while providing academic support on Twitch.
