Alice Porter

Alice grew up in Lyons, Colorado, fostering a love for learning and exploration in the mountains. After high school, she gained valuable management experience in the restaurant industry before pursuing her passion for education, earning a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2017.

With 10 years of experience and certification to teach kindergarten through 6th grade, Alice has spent the last six years as a lead teacher in a Title 1 public charter school, teaching kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. Her diverse classroom experience has equipped her with effective strategies to support students' learning needs. Alice is currently working as an expeditionary unit teacher at a gifted and talented school; here she designs curriculum and trips to support student learning in and beyond the classroom.

Alice is married with two children and two pets—a dog and a cat. Family time is important to her, especially with her family residing on the Front Range. Alice is eager to share her knowledge as a tutor, helping students achieve their academic goals and instilling a love for learning.
